Do you install access control and cameras yourselves, or subcontract it?
Ourselves. Low-IP started in low-voltage systems and still does that work directly — the readers, the controllers, the cameras, and the cabling they run on. It is also why the same firm can build the network underneath them and support it afterwards.
Can you work in a multi-tenant building?
Yes, and it is common here. The usual constraints are shared entrances, an owner and tenants with different requirements, and existing cable routes that may or may not be documented. A walkthrough before anything is quoted is the fastest way to avoid surprises later.
We’re in Oakland — do you actually come out?
Yes. Oakland is where we are based, so attendance here is a short trip rather than a regional dispatch. That is the practical reason the physical work — cabling, cameras, door control — is strongest in this city.
Do you only do the physical side, or the IT as well?
